Project Background:

More than just a shopping center, Prairiefire at Overland Park, Kansas also features a museum, seven restaurants, and a wetlands area that you can tour.  As part of the Communication Arts team, I produced several renderings for this project, two of which are shown here.  This shows two possible anchors, REI and Whole Foods.

My Approach:

While stylistically still somewhat painterly and soft, I put an emphasis on architectural details and lots of activity, colors, and lights.  I took a lot of time drawing the people in this scene, and I really like the way they look.
