Project Background:
Located just south of Denver, Metropolitan Gardens was to be a re-development of the Gates Rubber Tire Factory. The project site included 42 acres of land, on I25 & Broadway Ave. The vision was to transform this under-utilized property into a dynamic mixed-use development.
It was to include a mass transit station, high rise residential units, retail, dining and entertainment, high rise office space, two hotels and a public park. The developer was in the process pursuing financing when the project was put on hold due to the economic downturn.
My Approach:
While stylistically still somewhat painterly and soft, I put an emphasis on architectural details and lots of activity, colors, and lights.
Completed while at Communication Arts.
